Promises Found in the Secret Place

When life feels unpredictable and the world shakes beneath your feet, Psalm 91 stands as a sanctuary of peace and promise. It is a declaration of faith and a reminder of God’s unwavering protection during difficult seasons.

During the pandemic, I witnessed many lives being lost, which intensified my fears, particularly for my family members who are doctors and nurses. Their profession required them to risk their own lives to save others, and personal protective equipment (PPE) became a crucial lifeline for them. No. Their FAITH in GOD was their lifeline. In God, we TRUST. Throughout that challenging time, I relied on prayer and placed my trust in God.

One family battled cancer, COVID-19, and heart issues, and I feared they would not make it. Yet, today, he is alive and thriving in old age—a powerful testament to God’s faithfulness.

There are promises to be found in the Secret Place; go and dwell there.

God Is Your Refuge and Fortress

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Staying close to God fills your life with His presence, becoming your shelter and your unwavering strength.

He Delivers You from Traps and Disease

“He will rescue you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.”

Even when danger hides or sickness spreads, His protection covers you. You Are Covered Under His Wings

“He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you shall find refuge.”

There is safety in His closeness — His faithfulness shields you like armor. Freedom from Fear

“You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow that flies by day.”

God’s peace silences fear, day and night. Protection in Chaos

“A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.”

Even when the world around you crumbles, God keeps you standing.

You Will See His Justice

“You will only look on with your eyes and see the reward of the wicked.”

God will make things right in His time — you’ll see His hand move on your behalf.

No Evil Shall Befall You

“Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place… no evil shall befall you, nor any plague come near your tent.”

Your home and heart are safe under His covering. Angels Guard Your Path

“He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.”

You are never unprotected — Heaven’s army stands watch over you.

You Have Victory Over the Enemy

“You will tread upon the lion and the cobra… you will trample them underfoot.”

Through Christ, you have the authority to overcome fear, temptation, and evil. God Promises Deliverance, Honor, and Long Life

“Because he loves Me, I will deliver him… I will be with him in trouble… With long life, I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.”

God doesn’t just protect you — He honors, sustains, and satisfies you with His presence.

Reflection

Psalm 91 is more than words to read — it’s a covenant to believe. Each promise is a shield for the soul that chooses to trust. You may still face storms, but under His wings, you are never abandoned.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being my refuge and fortress. Help me to dwell daily in Your presence and to rest in the safety of Your promises. When fear rises, remind me that Your protection is stronger than anything I face. Amen.
