The Place I Run To…

Janetta Allis / October 11, 2025

There is so much going on in the world today. Amid everything happening, many voices are expressing a wide range of opinions and political views. Additionally, there is no shortage of false prophets operating in Christian spaces, which adds to the confusion of the times. In a world that often feels chaotic and confusing, those who place their hope, confidence, and trust in the Lord do not have to feel lost. There is stability in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I love now the Amplified version of Ephesians 4:14 reads, “So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready to

Promises Found in the Secret Place

Janetta Allis / October 11, 2025

When life feels unpredictable and the world shakes beneath your feet, Psalm 91 stands as a sanctuary of peace and promise. It is a declaration of faith and a reminder of God’s unwavering protection during difficult seasons.

During the pandemic, I witnessed many lives being lost, which intensified my fears, particularly for my family members who are doctors and nurses. Their profession required them to risk their own lives to save others, and personal protective equipment (PPE) became a crucial lifeline for them. No. Their FAITH in GOD was their lifeline. In God, we TRUST. Throughout that challenging time, I relied on prayer and placed my trust in God.

One family battled cancer, COVID-19, and heart issues, and I feared they would not make it. Yet, today, he is alive and thr

Is Peninnah Your Best Friend?

Janetta Allis / November 27, 2023

Although life is full of challenges and obstacles, the deliberate actions of others can serve as the fuel that ignites our motivation to keep pursuing our goals.

For me, it was my childhood pastor who always prayed and laid hands on me before I left for college. His wife would always say to me before I would go, “Don’t leave town before seeing me and the Bishop.” I also cherish the simple things in life, like when my mom used to make my favorite banana pudding for me to take back to my dorm. Banana pudding has always been my favorite dessert. During high school and college, my church youth director was a constant source of encouragement and support. She has since become a lifelong friend. Many people have invested in me over the years, and I am grateful for their belief and encou

An Aroma that Touches God’s Heart

Janetta Allis / August 7, 2023

I’m unsure if it’s a fresh perspective of a Bible character or topic that most Christians have encountered numerous times or if it’s simply an improved awareness or understanding. However, it’s inevitable that whenever you delve into the Bible and study it, God reveals something new you haven’t seen before.

Noah was more than just a man who constructed an ark. According to the Bible, Noah was a man who walked faithfully with God and was considered righteous and blameless. His name means “rest and comfort,” and the Lord favored him.

God selected Noah to present the first atoning sacrifice as an act of worship. This sacrifice ultimately led to God’s repentance once again. He first repented when he saw that his creation had become wicked and felt remors

Extravagant Worship - A Prepared Place

Janetta Allis / July 10, 2023

“Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might, while he and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets.’’ (2 Samuel 6:14-15)

“Now David was clothed in a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites carrying the ark, and as were the musicians, and Kenaniah, who was in charge of the choirs singing. David also wore a linen ephod.” (I Chronicles 15:27)

An Attempt That Fell Short

In the initial effort to bring the Ark of the Covenant back, an unexpected tragedy dampened the otherwise festive occasion. King David and Israel, and the musicians rejoiced as the Ark of God was transported on a new cart. Ho
