Forgiveness: A Daily Journey

Janetta Allis / November 30, 2025

Today’s blog post is simple, honest, and from the heart. I want to share a piece of my life’s journey—specifically, my ongoing walk with forgiveness. Every believer has an area in their faith walk that stretches them. Some battle addiction. Others wrestle with jealousy, pride, or simply telling the truth. For me, the area that has consistently challenged me the most is forgiveness.

The Place I Run To…

Janetta Allis / October 11, 2025

There is so much going on in the world today. Amid everything happening, many voices are expressing a wide range of opinions and political views. Additionally, there is no shortage of false prophets operating in Christian spaces, which adds to the confusion of the times. In a world that often feels chaotic and confusing, those who place their hope, confidence, and trust in the Lord do not have to feel lost. There is stability in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I love now the Amplified version of Ephesians 4:14 reads, “So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready

Promises Found in the Secret Place

Janetta Allis / October 11, 2025

When life feels unpredictable and the world shakes beneath your feet, Psalm 91 stands as a sanctuary of peace and promise. It is a declaration of faith and a reminder of God’s unwavering protection during difficult seasons.

During the pandemic, I witnessed many lives being lost, which intensified my fears, particularly for my family members who are doctors and nurses. Their profession required them to risk their own lives to save others, and personal protective equipment (PPE) became a crucial lifeline for them. No. Their FAITH in GOD was their lifeline. In God, we TRUST. Throughout that challenging time, I relied on prayer and placed my trust in God.

One family battled cancer, COVID-19, and heart issues, and I feared they would not make it. Yet, today, he is alive and

Watch and Pray

Janetta Allis / June 5, 2024

This morning, the words of Jesus—“Watch and pray”—resonated deeply in my spirit. In the Garden of Gethsemane, He found His disciples sleeping during a moment of great spiritual weight. His instruction was urgent:

“Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
—Matthew 26:41 (KJV)

The phrase “watch and pray” carries profound depth.

A Discerning Heart - Wisdom

Janetta Allis / June 23, 2023

Many people are familiar with the tale of King Solomon from the Old Testament. He was a wise leader who asked God for guidance, and God was pleased that he did not request the demise of his foes, riches, or renown. As a result, God bestowed upon him great riches and honor.

Well, that is the short Sunday school summary of this story.  Solomon did not just ask for wisdom. It is a little deeper.

Becoming Bible Literate

Janetta Allis / June 6, 2023

From his prison cell in Rome, the Apostle Paul wrote to young Timothy, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.”  (II Timothy 2:15 KJV)

Young Timothy needed to study God’s Word.   Today, it is more important than ever that consistent Bible study is a part of our everyday life.  Why?   Many counterfeit Christians, false prophets, and teachers mishandle God’s Word for personal gain.

I like to write positive blogs.  This seems a little negative.  I am not to point out everyone I think or know to be a false teacher or prophet.

Today, my blog is just a simple, gentle reminder to encourage people to cultivate

Are You Thirsty? (John Chapter 4)

Janetta Allis / June 2, 2023

Jesus served and ministered to people that most, including His disciplines would not to be bothered with.  Jesus extended himself to the social outcasts of His day.  When the Pharisees questioned why Jesus would eat with tax collectors and sinners, His response aligned with His divine purpose and calling, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Mark 2:17)

In John 4:4, it says, “Now He had to go through Samaria.”  Why would He go through Samaria? Afterall, the Jews do not deal with or talk to the Samaritans.

What is wrong with the Samaritans? Who are the Samaritans? Well, there is

My Global Positioning System (GPS) for Life

Janetta Allis / May 27, 2023

I recently taught a Sunday School lesson to a group of elementary kids about the significance of the Bible. One of the main points I wanted to emphasize was that the Bible serves as a guidebook for life. It acts as a map or GPS to assist individuals in making important life choices and decisions. The Bible offers direction.

Also, I wanted the kids to commit to reading their Bible regularly.  The class was energetic, and the kids appeared distracted that day, so I am unsure if they “got it.”  One day, they will remember.  A seed planted today grows into something extraordinary in the future.  Sunday School was a huge part of my life.  As children, we rarely missed Sunday School.  Almost every Sunday during devotions, the teachers would
