Why do I love the book of Nehemiah? The book of Nehemiah is a powerful reminder of the incredible feats one can achieve with the help of the Lord when driven by a genuine love for people and a heartfelt burden. When he heard that the walls of Jerusalem were broken down and burned to the ground, he cried, fasted, and prayed. But what’s truly remarkable is that he did not rush into action. Instead, he waited on the Lord for direction, demonstrating his patience and trust in God’s timing. It’s a lesson we can all learn from, reminding us that sometimes, the most powerful action we can take is to wait on the Lord. God opened the door.
